The BPW Gold Award was established in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the 1993 BPW Korea Federation. (Established : Yeong-hye Park, President of 14th Korea Federation) This award is presented to a person or organization that has contributed greatly to the improvement of women's status and the creation of women's employment through excellent leadership and equality in social, economic, social, cultural and educational fields. In addition, women are granted equal opportunities to those who have defeated the gender discrimination structure in their employment and promotion. However, the elected head of the private sector is excluded (January 17, 2009 internal regulations)
